Cupertino based tech giant, Apple, hosted another launch event today where it took the lid off new products. Dubbed as the “Time Flies” event, the virtual show did not see the company launch the much anticipated iPhone 2020, but instead saw Apple make important announcements about new iPads that it is introducing this year.
Amid the launch of the new product, what caught our attention was the diversity which was shown by the tech giant in their much-awaited event. In the introduction of their launch event this year, Apple represented the image of a Sikh father and daughter.
Sikh Restaurateur, Harjinder Singh Kukreja took to Twitter and highlighted the development by Apple and applauded them.
He tweeted the image and wrote, “Kudos & thanks to @Apple for Diversity in the #AppleEvent Absolutely happy to see a Sikh father and daughter in Apple’s introduction of the 8th generation iPad. Representation matters! Black, Sikh, Hispanic, Latino & many more faces are so important for generations to come.”

For the uninitiated, Apple has launched the new iPad Air (2020), the 8th gen iPad, Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE in its hardware event today.
In terms of services, Apple has also launched Apple Fitness Plus as an assisted fitness guidance package with the Apple Watch, and Apple One – an all-in-one subscription package that lets you buy iCloud, Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, Apple News Plus, Apple Arcade and Apple Fitness Plus services with one static fee.
The biggest takeaway from the launch is the new iPad Air, which also debuted the A14 SoC on Apple devices, and also introduced Apple’s new iPad design language on Apple’s razor-thin Air lineup.
