About Ghoomketu

Ghoomketu is the story of an aspiring writer from a UP village called Mahona. He has run away to Mumbai, to try his luck in films, and gives himself 30 days to try and prove his worth as a Bollywood writer. Apart from UP, he is also carrying a special guide, called “How to be a Bollywood writer in 30 days” with him.

The cast of “Ghoomketu” features Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is in the middle of his divorce controversy. “Ghoomketu” features Nawazuddin in the role of an aspiring screenwriter for Bollywood. Popular Indian filmmaker, director Anurag Kashyap appears as a lurchy cop. Saiyami Kher and Roshan Mathew complete the rest of the cast. What makes “Ghoomketu” special is a huge ensemble of Bollywood’s biggies making cameos throughout the course of the film. Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Sonakshi Sinha, Chitrangada Singh, and Nikkil Advani make their presence felt in glimpses.

Plot

Ghoomketu is essentially the story of a wannabe film writer from a small village in Uttar Pradesh who wants to write for Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan one day. Aided by his bua (Ila Arun) and unhappy with his plus-size new bride, he runs away from home.
